ExpenseLedger is a receipt management and expense tracking app. The app is designed to operate locally on your device. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal data.
Information We Do Not Collect
ExpenseLedger does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to external servers.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or personal identifiers.
- We do not upload your receipts, images, PDFs, or documents.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not provide cloud accounts or cloud sync.
Camera, Photo Library, and File Access
ExpenseLedger may request access to your camera, photo library, or files so you can scan receipts, import images, or import PDF documents. These files are processed locally on your device.
Local Storage
The app stores data locally on your device, including:
- Receipt images and PDF files
- Extracted OCR text
- Expense details such as merchant, amount, date, notes, and categories
- App preferences such as language and security settings
This data remains on your device unless you choose to export, back up, or share it.
OCR Processing
Text recognition is performed on device. Receipt images and extracted text are not sent to our servers.
Export, Backup, and Sharing
ExpenseLedger allows you to export reports, CSV files, receipt files, and backup files. These files are created only when you choose to export or share them.
Once you share exported files with another app or service, that app or service handles the data according to its own privacy practices.
Security
ExpenseLedger may use device-provided security features such as Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode protection. Password-related information is stored locally and is not transmitted to external servers.
Third-Party Services
ExpenseLedger does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
Children's Privacy
ExpenseLedger is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
