Is my data stored in the cloud?

No. All receipts and expense data are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to external servers unless you choose to export or share a file yourself.

Do I need an account to use ExpenseLedger?

When you first open the app, you'll create a local username and password to protect your data. This account exists only on your device — it is never synced to the cloud or any external server.

How do I export my expenses reports?

Tap the Export button in the Dashboard or Reports section to generate a CSV file. You can save it to your device or share it with any app that accepts files.

What file types can I import?

ExpenseLedger supports photos from your camera or photo library, as well as PDF documents. OCR text extraction works on both image and PDF receipts.

How do I back up my data?

Use the Export or Backup option in the app settings to create a backup file. Store it in iCloud Drive, Files, or any location of your choice.

Can I organize receipts by property or project?

Yes. Create custom categories to group receipts by rental property, client, project, or any other system that works for you.
